What Entreocracy Has to Do with Small Business Accounting

A few weeks ago, our co-founder and CEO, Jessica Mah, was on the cover of the annual Inc. 5000. It was a very exciting day for all of us!

In her interview, and in subsequent articles, Jessica has talked about the importance of empowering employees and the unique way we do this at inDinero: Entreocracy. This has sparked interest from...lots of people. We’ve received dozens of emails asking about Entreocracy, what it means, and how it relates to small business accounting.

So Jessica did what any revolutionary would do: She wrote a manifesto, which you can download here.

Entreocracy has everything to do with small business accounting

1. Entreocracy is about empathy and getting things done.

Jess realized that in order to empower employees to provide world-class customer service and continuous product innovation, a traditional top-down bureaucracy just wouldn’t work. Instead, she wanted a team of fellow entrepreneurs who could empathize with our customers and take the initiative to solve problems, big and small.

And if a bug is identified, it can be resolved right away without waiting weeks and weeks for a cumbersome “process” to be carried out.

2. Entreocracy is about dazzling our customers.

Small business accounting, tax filing, and payroll can be complex, but it’s important that they’re done correctly—that’s why companies hire us, after all. Business financials aren’t one-size-fits-all. That’s why we give individual time and attention to each of our customers’ accounts and proactively reach out if we identify potential issues.
